Cindy retired in 2022. She practiced primarily in the areas of real estate law, estate planning, probate and trust administration, business law and employment law.

Before joining the firm, she served as a law clerk for Minnesota Court of Appeals Judge Susanne Sedgwick and for Winona County District Court Judge Lawrence T. Collins.

Cindy is an elected fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. She is Co-chair of the Minnesota Title Standards Committee, which promulgates standards for examining real estate titles and documenting real estate transactions in Minnesota. She has served as chair of the Real Property Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association and on the MSBA Board of Governors and Assembly, the Board of Directors of Minnesota Continuing Legal Education, the Third District Ethics Committee and the Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board. She has been a speaker at numerous continuing legal education seminars.

Cindy has served on the boards of a variety of nonprofit organizations, including the Winona Family YMCA, Winona County Historical Society, Minnesota Beethoven Festival, Preservation Alliance of Minnesota, Winona Day Care Center, Women’s Resource Center, and Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical Foundation. She enjoys reading, cooking, travel and outdoor activities.
