Jim Forsythe retired from the Streater & Murphy law firm in 2015. He and his wife have lived in the Winona area since 1976. Jim graduated from the University of Minnesota law school in 1976 and then worked as the law clerk for Winona District Court Judge Glenn Kelley for a year before entering private practice.
Jim practiced primarily in family, estate planning and administration, business and school law matters. Even in retirement, he is regularly hired as a mediator in a variety of civil disputes to include family law cases.
He is an active member of the community, having served on the boards of a number of non-profit organizations including the YMCA, Winona Area Community Foundation, Homer Civic Association and Winona Day Care Center. He enjoys golfing, fishing, and growing vegetables.
